Editor's Note: I love stepping into the space of creatives like Brit Kleinman of Avo.  Writer Jesse Bratter profiled the Brooklyn-based artist in the most recent issue of the Journal and I photographed it. I was fascinated by her creative process and thrilled to share a more indepth look inside her studio.  

Brit Kleinman started Avo studio in 2014 after a successful career as a handbag designer.  Her collection of handpainted rugs, tiles and pillows make a true design statement in any interior. We chatted with her in the latest issue of the Journal and visited her studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Here is a peak inside and a glance at some of her beautiful pieces.
