Spring Progression | A Beauty & Flower Still Life Scene
This spring definitely feels different than others, but yet, there are some things that are certain and grounding in nature, like spring flowers. As days grow longer, waves of color washes over the landscape in the form of camellias, dogwoods, magnolias and eventually cherry blossoms until they eventually fall away until next year. Am I alone in thinking that petals are almost as delightful as the flowers themselves? Right now, camellia bushes are dropping their flowers onto sidewalks or lawns, magnolia petals become like confetti and daffodils will eventually yield a riot of tulips in their place. I was inspired by the evolution of the season and showcasing how beauty can still exist even when it begins to fade away and created this still life called Spring Progression.
Last year at R&I, we decided to be much more intentional with the beauty products that we accept and share. We live in a world of excess; there is just too much of everything. During this time period, we are not requesting any new samples to photograph, so we are going back into our archives and showcasing some of the products that we did want to talk about but never got around to it. Today we are sharing two products from CHANEL—the first is a CC Cream that offers mega sun protection and another is a cleanser that gently lifts away impurities.

This gentle formula takes the day away, even hard to remove long-wearing makeup formulas, without stripping the skin of its natural oils. A combination of sea extracts like blue micro-algae and marine salicornia extract prep the skin for the rest of your skincare routine.
CHanel cC CREAM SUPER ACTIVE CORRECTION COMPLETE SUNSCREEN SPF 50
These days, we have become a bit low key when it comes to applying foundation. When we do leave go outside for some much needed fresh air, we want to make sure that our skin is protected from the sun and have been reaching for this CC Cream. It adds just enough coverage—with a pretty glow to boot— so if you have a video conference call it has you covered, with the added benefits of Vitamin C and murunga plum extract, which fend off any environmental damage. The only downside of this product is that the color range is limited to three shades, so here is to hoping that it expands beyond the current offering.
