The Beauty File | Flesh

ROSE & IVY Journal Beauty File | Flesh Cosmetics

We are excited to introduce a new feature here on the ROSE & IVY website called ‘The Beauty File’ where we will feature new brands and launches that we have recently tried and liked. We are kicking things off with Flesh, a brand that launched earlier this year by magazine legend Linda Wells in partnership with Revlon. The range is for everyone, with a whopping 40 shades of foundation for starters, in addition to different makeup must-haves like from blush and lipstick to highlighters. Here is our take on the brand and let us know, have you tried Flesh?

Flesh Strong Flesh Lipstick in Heart

The ultimate shade of red. This super pigmented lipstick glides on easily and while it isn’t glossy, it isn’t really matte either—in other words, it is the type of consistency that we like while rocking a red lip. We put this on mid-morning and were pleased to see, even after sipping coffee and water, it stayed put. We applied a touch-up after lunch, just like we would any lipstick. It is available in 9 shades from a rosy beige to bright fuchsia.

Flesh Firm Flesh Thickstick Foundation

When it comes to a product that fits easily into our makeup bags, we need it to be compact and if we are being honest, to do more than one thing. Flesh’s Thickstick Foundation does that, we like to call it ‘small but mighty’. It doesn’t only work well as a foundation, but it also does magic for under eye circles. We prefer a foundation that has a lighter coverage, so to get this type of finish we add a bit of oil into the palm our hand and mix it together. If contouring is your thing, you can pick up a darker shade and use that instead of a bronzer.

Flesh Tender Flesh Blush in Rub

If you prefer a blush that delivers a wash of color and a soft glow, definitely try the Flesh Tender Blush. Just like the lipstick, this powder delivers mega pigment so start with a light hand and build the color from there.
