Have you ever learned something and asked yourself, "Why did it take me so long to realize this?". Well, this is the case with a beauty trick that transformed my hair. Over the summer, even though I have been so busy, I did (thankfully) find an adequate amount of time to swim, both in a pool or the ocean. Come July, my hair was a little bit of a mess--my blonde locks were dry (even though I use this oil all the time) and kept getting knotted and mangled very easily; if I had to describe in a word, they were actually dreads. It reminded me of when my mom had to use No More Tangles from Johnson & Johnson on my hair when I was a kid after swimming in our pool.
I decided to change my pillowcase from cotton to silk by switching to a Slip Pillowcase. The day I did so it was over 90 degrees outside and the humidity was at a balmy 99%. I woke up to hair that not only was incredibly soft, but knot free. It almost felt like a miracle. You might think that's an exaggeration, but I kid you not, my hair for the first time all summer felt manageable. Another perk of sleeping on a silk pillowcase is that they are gentler on the skin and waking up with lines on your face will be a thing of the past.
