We have a fascination with how things are made, particularly fashion, so were were incredibly excited to get to tour Flagpole's New York factory. We got the wonderful opportunity to tour the Flagpole swimwear's New York factory, where all of the pieces are produced in the Garment District. Inside, there are seamstresses and pattern makers producing the frame work to bring the sketches to life; colorful threads in pretty sorbet shades are perched on shelves and manequins display the suits as they come together. In the latest issue of the Journal, we sat down with the brand's co-founders, Jaime Barker and Megan Balch to hear about what it takes to start a fashion brand with your best friend and the importance of making all of the pieces here in New York. Here is a glimpse inside of how the magic is made.
