There is nothing really like fashion week, the energy, the fashion, the beauty, so much to love. As much as I love covering shows, backstage is where the magic truly happens. It is even greater when you get to see the magic happen backstage then see the final result on the runway. The A Détacher presentation included cozy plaid knits, earthy hued frocks, high-waisted pants and vintage floral prints.
The focus backstage on beauty was quite intricate. The model's hair was teased, then sectioned off and woven around a bobby pin. It was then hot ironed and the result was perfectly crimped curls that were then combed and tucked into a pompadour with a major side of volume.
“For the beauty look at A Detacher’s Fall/Winter 2017 show, I was inspired by the Victorian era – with pale complexions and muted red lips. I focused on keeping the skin light, radiant and simple; we wanted to keep the makeup complimentary to the entire collection.” – Orlando Santiago, Guerlain Lead Makeup Artist
