I must make a confession, I love going to breakfast alone on a weekday. I am a firm believer that it is the best meal of the day (and also one of the most important) and should be enjoyed if possible. Here in New York you are inundated with amazing restaurant choices, but sometimes the places that you have been trying to go for forever never seem to have reservations on the days that I would like to go - this is where breakfast comes into the picture. I have been wanting to go to Le Coucou since it opened a few months back, but reservations are hard to come by. The Roman & Williams designed space is just exquisite, I mean every corner from the wallpaper to the floral sugar bowls.
But getting back to dining alone, I was never a big fan of this, I used to feel a bit awkward or strange but as I get older, I love a bit of time to myself to savor a meal, in this case breakfast. I like to think of ideas, brainstorm, plan projects or issues. I recommend starting your day at a delicious restaurant by yourself. It truly is a great way to begin the day.
