This is the time of year when you begin 'un-doing' any damage from summer's long sunny days, which are wonderful by the way, except too much sun isn't good for your skin. Sadly. Right now I am coaxing myself into liking cooler temperatures and shorter days with Fig + Yarrow's Sea Scrub. This oil-laced product smells like divine citrus and leaves superbly moisturized and soft. It simultaneously detoxifies the skin by removing dirt with yes, mud and other sea-harvested goodness like clay and other minerals fresh from the floor of the sea.
Tip: I love applying an oil-based scrub on dry skin. I apply before I step into the shower and let the oils steep into the skin. I rinse off at the end. Note - Be careful! The oils can make the shower slippery. I finish this indulgent routine by applying an oil, like May Lindstrom's The Good Stuff on damp skin.
