Soup is my go-to recipe when it is cold outside. Typically, I make huge batches of broth on a low-key Saturday or Sunday, and then transform it into a recipe with whatever I have on hand. For the Winter issue, I wanted to showcase this versatile menu item in a few different ways. White beans and kale are always on-hand in my kitchen, but I opted to give the traditional recipe that I make an upgrade by creating a flavorful roasted garlic broth.
